Gots no heat (cant get the hose off)
I need help with my heat i thinks it my heater core i change the thermostat but no heat i was going to flush out the core but i cant get the heater hose off i was just cut the hose and get new ones but if i can save them they are in good shape
any sug[/align]
For stubborn radiator/heater hoses, I typically use a flat blade screwdriver between the hose and the fitting it attaches to. For hard to reach areas, I made up a 'J' shaped tool for this purpose. All that is really necessary is to break the bond between the hose and the fitting in one area, then work it the rest of the way off.
yea i had that problem when i changed mine. just twist it and pull and itll come off. just dont get your face too close or youll wind up with a bloody or busted nose lol. yes ive been there and done that.
Just heat up and bend an old screw driver. I can't seem to find mine now... I used a longer than normal flat blade screw driver. I think my dad may have it now and if that is indeed the case, I'll probably never see it again.
You could try to have a power flush in aradiator shop to get rid of the dexcool ,and chek if there's some kind of muddy stuff coming out. If so , change for regular green coolant,50/50 mix with water.
