I actually had to rotate the motor manually and line up the marks, then rotate the oil pump manually with a screwdriver. then place the distro in with the paint mark facing dead center

Whenever you remove the distributor, you have to set the CMP Retard. It involves moving the distributor in its bore (there is enough play in the bracket & bore through the lower intake manifold to allow for a few degrees timing advance/retard either direction) as well as requires a Tech2 or equivalent bi-directional scantool to display the CMP Retard value. This is beyond just lining up the rotor position the same as it was before removal. If this is not done, it can cause a random/multiple misfire code (P0300).

This is perfectly normal. When the intake is installed, air is passing through the mad air flow sensor. When you disconnect it with the engine running, the PCM doesn't see any air entering the engine and cuts back on fuel until the engine does. If you need to run the engine without the intact duct work connected, disconnect the MAF sensor prior to starting the engine.

Well I broke down and went to firestone and its now fixed. It ended up being a bend pin at the fuel injector harness connector. Hope this helps you in trying to find your problem.

Wow this thread took off!!!! Hahaha I upgraded the injectors also while I was in there. I still have a miss though. Everything thing on the ignition is AC delco and fuel pressure is good. I took a look at it on a scan tool and the CMP timing is at -7. I believe it's suppose to be 0 is I'm not mistaking. I tried moving the distributor and it made no improvement on the scanner. Could this be my miss? My fuel trims were a little weird too. Bank 2 looked a little off. Maybe an O2 going out as well cause fuel mileage is horrible now. 15 mpg to be exact. I'm not sure where to look next.
