Block 180 out??? There is a possiblity the camshaft is not timed with the crankshaft properly. That can happen when the timing chain is replaced, or it jumps on the gears, but timing chain issues are almost unheard of on 4.3's. I thought all you did was cylinder head gaskets & intakes, no need to mess with the timing chain to do that. Did you even have the timing cover off? Did the engine run before you did the head gaskets?

Correct all I did was head and intake gaskets. And yes it ran before I took it apart just overheated.
Ya the block 180 out didn't really make sense to me either. The only thing that I can find that's right are the exhaust gaskets.

The only thing I can find that's NOT right are the exhaust gaskets. They all need to be replaced except for the headers to motor.

I have got the rotor pin lined up on the 6 again at tdc and still no start and its starting to rain for a day or 2 so I won't be able to work on it but I left it at tdc and pulled the cap and its still pointed at the 6 so when it's done rainin I will try to pull the dizzy and drop it back in 180 from where the 6 is. I seem to have the best luck with it like that so far. 😡
