Ok still in limbo with the distributor. There response was very vague but it sounded like I wasn’t the only one with the complaint. They did offer to open one up and have a look at it but I think I’m waist of my time.
I did realize I still had steering shaft to reinstall since I have headers and then realized I had to pull power steering hoses back off as well. Did secure the pump hose first though. So all I got done tonight was steering shaft , PS. Hoses and installed new oil filter housing and supply line. Added PS fluid forgot how slow these tubes drain! NO!!!!!! ATF all over my new engine ! Lol. FYI not sure if ZR2 hoses for PS and engine to filter housing are slightly different but I had to do some slight tweaking to both to work.
So Advanced Auto parts hoses suck if they are the same part number as a 4 door! I hope filter housing to oil cooler doesn’t suck just as much or worse!

Default Final fitting for oil lines and fittment

Ok this before pic and after.i didn’t worry about outside after grinding it down. I did debur the inside.

notice the light space between the nut part and the radiator. Probably a standard business card or thinner.

I put just a touch of dielectric grease at the base where the oring was going to be setting. This is very important that the oring has a lubricant so it doesn’t bind up and tear. I also try to spin the oring around several times to make sure it’s fully lubricated.

I used a fair amount of thread sealant on the threads. That of course gave the orings a lubricant on the base of a nut and it cures semi hard fairly quickly.

this is final install of the fittings. I ground down just enough on each fitting to leave a light space when tightened down to the bottom so it couldn’t just loosen, but also to prevent over tightening causing the oring to squish out easily. The second thing to remember is orings do eventually dry out and loose any holding power they do have so you want that space so the fitting will be tight without the prongs present so any future leak will hopefully leave marks on a driveway and not be a total failure in a rapid pressure drop.

I had to beet this over a bit with a medium dead blow hammer to clear oil lines with enough room for the lid to not press against the oil lines. I may review and do more if need be as I have not attempted the lid fittment.

final fit. Still have fan wiring to do.
