Popping noise when turning 97 blazer new cv drive axles
Ok I had a friend replace my cv drive axles in my 97 2-dr blazer 4wd. And its still making a popping noise when turning and turning in reverse. Is it possible he just didn't grease them when he put them in? he said I need a lower ball joint on the drivers side also. Was he supposed to grease them when he put them in? any help is appreciated.

If the whole CV axle was replaced on either side, there would be no greasing involved.
Where did you get the parts from? Were they used or new/reman units?
As a diagnostic step, you could try removing the CV axles completely and turning to see if the noise is still present. This would be a test ONLY. The truck should not be driven except a very short distance at relatively low speeds to test it. Damage to the wheel bearing assemblies could result from prolonged use without the front driveshafts installed
