Default Rear Defogger window

Hey guys, I have a 2000 Blazer 4 door LS and i put a new back window in and it also has the heated mirrors on the same switch. The grid is fine but there is no 12V at the back clip wire on the driver side( i also checked before the clip behind the rear hatch panel....nothing). the heated mirrors work,i checked the fuses and the relay..they are good, Im guessing there maybe a problem with the timer control unit or a break in the wire going to the back from the dash area. This truck is from Vancouver Island and is in near mint condition.I drove it back to Ontario last summer.Does anyone know where to locate the timer control unit? i wanna check it to make sure it isnt faulty.
Any suggestions? thx in advance

Jay

In a '98 it's in the HVAC controller under center of dash console. But I am showing the mirrors are using the same timer circuit.

Ya it does control the mirrors also which is telling me the out of the controller for the rear glass might be defective thx for the reply. Not sure if the 98 is the same dash as mine but I'll check it out thx

Check the ground for the grid again real close. I have it at the right rear body corner.

I'll check again but I'm positive the grid is fine. I tested it with ohm meter .I check both leads from the from for 12v nothing

On my schematic there is only one out for the timer. White wire goes to rear defogger relay. The mirrors actually feed off the rear defogger relay in the UBEC before they go to their own 10a fuse. Just hate to see you tear open dash for nothing.

could you post a pic of the wiring schematic and where is the ETAC module located?

If by ETAC Module you are referring to the Electronic Climate Control module, it is #5 in the wire harness view.

The harness view in my previous post doesn't work? It's #5 in the view.
