Exclamation Rear Hatch Not Opening

Hi there everyone, unfortunately im back again with another problem. My 2003 Chevy Blazer hatch back wont open. I tried opening it with my key fob and the little button on the interior but nothing seems to work. I took a look at my owners manual and found out that there is a relay for the liftglass. Im going to try to replace the relay but if it doesnt work, what else do you all suggest i do next?

As a side note, when i tried the key fob i didnt hear a click like i normally do but the lights flashed indicating that it has unlocked the hatchback.

Try replacing the hydraulics, it's what I had to do in my 2000 and it worked fine after that.

It does not make a noise. When i use my keyfob my car flashes it's lights at me like it got the signal but i do not hear a click sound. I tried replacing the 18650 relay but no dice.

It's probably time to open the back hatch up and test the actuator to see if its defective or to see if there is proper power to the actuator during an unlock event attempt.

Well if you prefer not to open the rear door up until the end then there are a few more things you can check.

If if you have a push button or key switch at the rear gate itself, does that energize the motor and open the glass hatch?

The body control module supplies the ground for the coil of the lift glass relay. The relay then passes fused hot at all times power through the relay contacts to the lift gate motor. Look at the mir/Lks fuse (3a). If the fuse checks out then pull the relay and make sure you have power to the upstream relay contact pin socket. Then you can jumper the power to the other contact pin socket to see if the lift gate pops. If it does and you are certain that the relay is good then the problem is with the body control module or it’s inputs. If it does not then it’s the wiring on the way to the motor or the motor itself, or it’s ground.

I got the door panel off, the plastic peice that links the lever is completely find i think the actuator it self is bad. I have new fuses for the mir/lks coming in tomorrow so i will put that in and see if it makes any difference.
