Default rev limit

I have a 2000 blazer and if i try to do a burn out just by using the brake, it will only rev up to 2000 rpms. is there any way to make it rev higher or is that in the computer?

Pretty sure that's the computer bro, whenever I power brake my '87 it will burn the hell out of 'em. It will shift through 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th on its own.

my little 2.2 in my 01 noma stick will smoke the hell out the tires. it sounds like you got traction control, but i didn't think that blazers offered that option. is there a TCS button on your dash or center console? or does a traction light come on when you do it?

Sounds to me like it's just hooking up at 2k and leaving. Not a rev-limiter problem, your brakes just aren't holding it according to this:

not mine, when i try it it will rev up to 2000, and then just take off without ever loosing traction. it sucks

i have a 95 blazer with several eng mods but the computer combind with the torque converter setup for towing wont alow it to go over 2000 rpm unless i get the tires to break los before it limits the throtal position then it will burn the hell out of them
