It's been a busy week for me, but I'm still searching for a good receiver/transmitter combo. It is funny that the one midnightblus10 had in his blazer matches up to the fob I got for Christmas, but mine has the picture of the trunk on it. I haven't looked too much locally yet, but if you can find that receiver, I may take you up on it.

Just in case anybody wants to know, I found one of these on an S-15 at a junkyard that matched the new remote fob my wife got me for Christmas. It cost me $10 and took about 30 seconds to pair it once I put it in. Now for the 4WD actuator, secondary air pump and who knows what else...

if u can't get any remotes to program. go to a parts store or best buy or what ever and buy a remote start. it comes with instructions on how to install. make sure u get the rite kit. the one you want will have the lock/unlock feature in it.

I'm pretty sure that the GM part # is the same no matter which code is on them, so that's only half the battle. The idea is first get the correct part #, then to match the codes on the remote and the transmitter. A remote to go with your KOBUT1XR should be stamped with code KOBUT1XT. The same ones were used in multiple GM vehicles (Chevy, GM, Buick, Caddilac, etc.) so they should be easy enough to find used.

I ended up using the new fob with the code KOBLEAR1XT. I replaced the receiver under the dash with one from a junkyard. That had code KOBLEAR1XR stamped in it. It works great now.
