Default Turn Signal Troubles

Hi all. I'm having issues with my left turn signal. My check engine light went on shortly before the problem started and I assumed it to be because I lost (forgot at gas station ) my fuel tank cap. I bought a replacement for that and shortly after my left turn signal started blinking much faster than usual in dash and exterior. Sure enough, one of my orange lights were out on the front. I replaced the fuse and that light on both sides of the vehicle and my check engine light still hasn't shut off and my turn signal is still flashing abnormally fast. I've heard this can be due to corrosion with regard to the light wiring. Are there any other problems that could be causing this? Thanks in advance.

As far as the CEL goes, get the codes read and let us know what they are.

Concerning the fast turn signal, you will need to make sure that all of the connections are clean. If they are all clean and all of the bulbs are working, you may want to put in a heavy duty flasher module that is electronic and not thermal, so consistent flashing regardless of the load.

Normally a fast flashing indicator light mrans a burned out bulb. I'd double check all of your lights again first. I just had rhis happento me abiut a nonth ago and there were two burned out bulbs in the rear lights.
