What is the fuel range of the Blazer/Jimmy?

The only damage done to any vehicle by running out of fuel is the damage to your feet and shoes by walking after a can of gas if there isn't one with you

When mine gets to 1/2 empty, I fill it. If the tank gets too low, the fuel pump in the tank does not get cooled sufficiently and will burn out if done often.
Learned this a long time ago when the fuel pumps went into the tank. Never have had problems with pumps burning up.
Mine gets about 225-250 miles a tank I calculate.

upon the point the pump empties the container the engine dies and the ECM shuts down the pump
Pumps burning up by low fuel is a old story and wise tail by somebody looking for a reason the pump died and that's all it is
however that being said - remember it doesn't cost anymore to keep the top end of the tank full than it does to keep the lower half full
