Default wire location question

I am installing a remote start alarm and after searching this forum and online I have determined what wires go where but i have an issue with one. The install guide says to hook one of the wires to "ignition input of the key cylinder to alarm. Connect to the the ignition wire that provides 12 volts when the ignition is on and while cranking the starter." Is this just the starter wire(the yellow at the ign harness)? My blazer is a 96 ls if you need to know. By the way this wire from the alarm is on the pins that are for safety like the hood pin switch, brake input, it also has the negative door input on it, it is not on the main 5 pin group that consists of the starter output, the accessory, ignition, second ignition, main power input.

The large pink wire in the connector under the steering column is the Ign 1 wire. This wire is hot in RUN & START.
