Lift Shackle Installation - DISCUSSION THREAD
Maybe adding a little weight to the wheels or a jack to the leaf by the bolt so the down pressure isn't as much. Find the "happy medium" between down pressure & lift so the bolts slide out with a drift (steel rod the diameter or a little smaller than the bolt) & big *** hammer?!
When/if you get them out it's always good measure if not required because the old bolts are FUBAR'd, to replace any suspension hardware that was removed & add lots of antiseize to the bolt & threads.

The only air compressor I have is a little 2G campbell hausfeld 100psi model. I don't know the scfm of that tank unfortionatly, but would it be enough to run an air hammer? Since I posted last to now, I've searched the depths of our forum, other s10 forums, and even generic 4x4 forums in regards to shackle bolts...I read about torching the bolts, little confused on this though..Am I torching the bolt head? the bushings? Should I go out and buy a C-Clamp? I guess PB blaster is something to buy tomorrow.
After the body is jacked up, I was under the impression that the rear end had to hang freely, is this correct? What are the shackle bolt specs, in the event I need to buy new ones? I couldn't find that info anywhere

I installed some add-a-leafs and my neighbors air tools couldn't even budge the nuts. They were road damaged pretty bad. We hosed them with a product called "Kroil" then heated the nuts with a torch and would loosen it a turn then torch again, etc. until they were off.
Picked up Film Fluid today, greased the shackle bolts, and all the body mounts (for when my body lift gets in, figured I'd start getting those mounts lubed) I'll coat everything again tomorrow too. Has anyone had any experience with this product?

Yep, Canadian Tire doesn't carry the M14x2.00 115mm bolts. No one in town carries rear leaf bushings for a truck as common as an S-10. I give up. I tried a torch today, a C-clamp (broken now) The one bolt we tried, we got it to spin freely in the bushing, but sure as ****, no way to get it out. Time to cough up the $$ to get someone to do it for me.
