Memorex is a good brand.

Since that deck is so old, I'd reccomend trying 74 minute CD-R's.

Some 80 minute CD-R's don't follow the red-book audio standards, that's why they don't work in some players.

Memorex blank audio tends to be cheaper than the namebrand stuff in small quantities also. At my Wal-Mart they're the only brand under 5 bucks for a 10 pack. Dunno about bulk though.

Memorex is a name brand, lol.

A 50 spindle is usually something like $25 or less for CD-R's... at least it was last time I bought mine.
