Default Antenna adapter

Hey guys,
So i put an alpine CDE-121 head unit in my 2001 blazer close to a year ago, and since then my radio has never been exactly the same. Lots of channels get really fuzzy, so badly that i can't hear anything sometimes. This NEVER happened when i had my stock head unit in. Do you think that the problem is my antenna adapter or the head unit itself?

i would try the antenna adapter before buying another head unit but it seems like that HU is a lil weak in power.
