what about a 180 and have the subs firing towards the front, I always wanted to try this........but my box is bolted down all nice......

will notice a little less bass, as the waves wont be amplified by reflecting off the glass.

with the subs and port facing up, you get feel a lot more air movement, but less sound, because it's not reflecting off the glass, as hillbilly said...

You feel more, but I don't know if you actually get more, lol.

It sounds the best with the sub facing the rear, though... at least for me.

Maybe have the port up, sub back, for more air movement and still good SQ...

I have my subwoofers themselves aiming into my backseats, is this a good idea or no, and how should I change them? Also i was wondering when my amplifier goes into protect, does this help prevent my subs from blowing or no?

For the best "listening" sound, have your subs facing your hatch, facing into the seats will kind of muffle them, depending on how close they are.

For the most volume, I think subs facing up, and port back is what's most commonly used.
