Funny, that's exactly what I'd planned to do(water). I'm going to build the box 6" or so too wide,fill it to my desired weight/volume, and cut it on the water line. I may even get creative and do it on an angle(probably not)

Sounds like you know what you're going to do, but here's another example. I used fibreglass to form to the truck corner and wheel well for the back, and then used MDF for the front and top of the box.

That's kinda what I was thinking for size. I have a pretty good idea what I'm going to do, but I like others input. A few of you guys have far more experience with stereo equipment than I, so I value your ideas.
