Question Sub enclosure for 2000 Blazer?

Just picked up a 2000 Blazer 4 door. I'll be ditching the factory CD player in favor of an aftermarket that I can hook my iPod to & I am also looking for a decent & inexpensive 10" or so sub enclosure that won't take up too much space or get in the way.

There are only one or two "custom fit" sub enclosures or stealth type box for your application that I know of. Search Crutchfield, I believe they have them. Or try looking at the Infinity basslink, it has a fairly small footprint and decent sound, and you can get one on ebay for 190.00 shipped.

If you're looking for a GOOD & inexpensive 10" sub I would recommend a few like the Ascendant Audio Assassin, the Fi X, SSA DCON, Incriminator Audio 187, DC Level 2 to name the ones that come to the top of my list that fit your description. There's a few websites that can help with enclosure design or there may be some users out there who can do enclosure designs. I can as well, but I'm limited on time right now so it may take a little while to get it designed and the cut sheets out to you. Feel free to contact me if you don't have any luck anywhere else though. Another nice thing about these drivers is that they don't require a ton of power to sound good and get loud. That helps alot on the cost of an amp, wiring, etc.

Otherwise, just about anything you run across in the mainstream market is going to work just fine as long as the enclosure is built to manufacturer specs. Good luck with your search and be sure to post up pics and vids of the build process and finished instalation!

Thanks, but am not looking to spend $190 on just a box.

Crutchfield didn't have anything specific to the Blazer.

'Vehicle specific' and 'cheap' rarely coexist.

I bought a used Alumapro Alchemy off of craigslist for $30 buck, sent 700 clean watts to it, and have been absolutely amazed at how well it can reproduce fast double bass.
