Question for FATRYAN
Hey hows it goin? well i just replaced my crappy exide 525cca battery with an AC Delco 680cca battery, would have went a little bigger but it was on sale for $50. Soon im going to do the big 3 with either 4 or 0 awg and was wondering if that will be enough. right now i have the MRD-M501 about 600 rms and plan on getting a small 4 channel (looking at power akoustic for $99) right now nothing is hooked up except the deck and sps-170a's. in my 88 cavvy z24 i was running just the 501 and the big3 and still had a fair bit of dimming and battery drainage. im hoping the blazers alternator will be up to the challenge.
As we talked earlier you were walking me through the process of buying over the net and i think im gonna give er a shot, and was wondering how safe it is to use my credit card, im looking to buy off sounddomain, unless you can suggest something safer/better. I really want an Alpine V-power 4 channel but they dont carry alpine [&o]
thanks
Adam

RE: Question for FATRYAN
the big 3 can be done with either gauge, both are significantly better than the stock wires. as for dimming it can still be expected on your current step up I believe. I would get yourself a mono block or a higher amp alternator. just my .02

RE: Question for FATRYAN
The 501 is a mono block, and apparently it is efficient

you know you could have PMed me right? lol i dont care either way.
well what i would do if i was you, is do the big3 upgrade in 0awg wire. 0awg is way more than sufficient, but its nice to have incase you decide to run more power in the future. just the upgrade itself (if done right) should be enough to only allow a little dimming if any. but if it does pose a problem for some reason, then get a HO alt.
sounddomain is a very well known site. ive never bought from them before, but i wouldnt worry about it at all.

No problem, just don't let it happen again or I'll have to go Canadian on your *** (that means I'll bring you a Tim Hortons coffee with a side of back bacon)
