the dc alts are thicker then the stock. i put mine in not hard, just might have to take the back mounting bracket out

 

I was thinking of getting the DC Power OEM 185A alternator that they have listed for $249.95 and will this one be thicker as well?? Or will it fit in just right? I emailed DC Power, but no response yet. I figured since it was the OEM series that it should go in with no problems. Looks like the same size as my stock alt. Just wanted to hear from DC Power first. Thanks.

 

they have more bulk. i have that same one. the bracket comes right off

 

the black part in the middle there isn't there on the stock alt

 

How does that bracket come off when installing the new alt? How does the new alt mount to the bracket? Use the same bolts?

 

the bracket jus comes right off when you remove your old alt. use the same bolts that hold it in

 

Drywall or wood. For the orientation in my hatch, it usually always depends as the box, sub, size all have a factor in it as well as the rest of your setup. Play around with the orientation and listen to a few songs you know very well.
