Default Stereo and speakers

Got a couple of questions i could use help with.

First, i am having problems with my speakers. Only some of them seem to work the majority of the time, while others might turn on after i've been driving for a while... Any ideas about what is going on?

Secondly, I bought a new stereo to replace the factory stereo, and i have no idea whether the factory model is DIN or not... i was about to remove the dash coverings, and thought i should get this figured out first. Suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

I have a 95. Is there an easy way to check where the wires might be loose?

The place I would start would be the radio, check and make sure the wires are connected properly. If they are all okay, then I would check the speakers and make sure everything checks out...

If you can't fix it by ensuring good connections at the radio/speakers, theres a chance that there could bea short in the wiring somewhere in between. No simple way to check for a short besides inspecting the entire length of the wire.

factory radio is a din and half, will look nice with the proper dash kit. check out my sticky on top of the av page, Install parts. If you are at all handy, run new wires, fairly easy in our trucks. only pain is the door jamb boot. but a hanger will solve that pretty easy

What is the easiest way to get to the speakers in the doors? And how likely is it that they will have to be replaced?

two 7mm bolts under cover in door pull. one plastic screw by lock mechanism. clips the rest of the way.
