right now, i just put the bolts back in the holes after applying some silicone to keep moisture from seeping in.

i did work yesterday to get the basic center console knocked out, i'll be driving around for a while with a basic boxy looking console until i get some fiberglass or the lazy way out, bondo, so i can give it some curves and what not... we'll see what happens in the long run.

on a side note, i've been looking at getting a bunch of suspension parts like front and rear sway bars, lowering kit, the blazer xtreme leafs and all those goodies instead of going full audio. i figure, audio can be built up slowly but you can't drop the front of the truck and leave the rear high as can be ya know?

And, if anyone was confused, the pink thing on my dash is my dog's squeaker toy that she gets when she sits in the seat. its her "you're a good puppy" treat.

i just finished putting the second coat of paint on one side rail after a day of cloudy weather.

primer

paint

the patches are from me doing the first very light coat, i didn't take any pictures after the second coat

i am going to let it dry, sand it with some 220 tomorrow and then spray the last coat or two. obviously i'm not trying to get it perfectly smooth like gregw's tyclone but, i want the finish to look good. i'll update tomorrow or tuesday (depending on weather) when i get it done.

i'm still chugging along on the center console. just been busy with work, school, and my little league team.

Well, today i did an install on a kids Chrysler srt-8 300... not a fan of the car but i installed a Pioneer AVIC touchscreen, 4 JL C2 coaxial speakers, a JL 13w7, a JL 300/4 and a JL 1000/1. he couldn't pay me the whole 200 i was asking so he paid me $60 and gave me a JL 300/4 and a set of Infinity Reference 6010cs speakers... not bad, i can make money on these if i sell.... i'm pretty happy except for the fact that one of the screws are stripped on the front left channel. easy fix but something i didn't want to deal with

Well, apparently i get no love anymore..... here is what i got done today

Sound deadened the doors, install woofers of my components in the doors, and ran the wires for the tweeters. i have some pictures and a video that i am currently uploading

some pics and a video

This is up in the door

Started deadening

in the door with some deadening

door card

driver door with JL VR woofer in

passenger with woofer

and video where you can hear me for the first time, with no voice though.. little cousins (plural) had a tournament this weekend

in the video, it isn't an obvious difference but in person its very noticeable and with the speakers in you can hear it

I will take pictures of the wiring through the doors tomorrow along with my favorite thing in the world... NO MOLEX PLUG IN BETWEEN THE DOORS!!!! a lot of cars i do installs on have the molex in the boot which causes some issues when running new speaker wire. On mine (most i believe) the molex is between the inner skin and the door card. It makes life so much easier

ensolite is like the stock insulation but better haha
