Thank you very much! I definitely owe you one!

First thing I did was go to:
G80 AXLE,REAR,POSITRACTION,LIMITED SLIP POSITRACTION L/SLIP R/AXL(G80)

Now I know for sure I have the G80 version of positraction. I'm gonna try printing it for the glovebox. I have no plans to sell it but it may fall into someone else's hands someday. They gan get the "fixed up" version of what I bought

Funny Story - But True!

After pulling, checking and reinstalling the same or bigger to look into the Endgate mystery; When I had to take my son to Basketball practice the dark one would not start. Thinking I put in a bad fuse I quickly gathered my fuses and pliers. Turns out that I forgot a fuse. It was for:
Fuel Injection Computer
Fuel Injector(s)
Engine sensors
I jumped from 10 Amps to 20 and not only did she start right up; but she ran very smooth for the first time in a month - and "Service Engine Soon" light was now out.

You are AMAZING. I bought a Mac because graphics are native and easier than PCs but what you are doing is way out of my skill set. The front end is an exact dupe!

There are only 3 things I would change [if I could]. The wheels are same as yours [directional], I have nerf bars and a rounded trailer hitch with 5 different *****. Your application may not let you do anything "non-GM" but the hitch is OE.

I remain in your Service

Default Do any other instrument clusters work for a 96 blazer

My cluster so far has been "iffy" at best. I'm pretty sure the RPMs and speed are very close and my temp gauge has proven that it can go above 180 on one occasion. Oil pressure, volts and fuel are a mystery. Nothing has been dangerously high or low to worry about so far and I have been using my trip meter for the fuel - until today. Gauge said "E" and trip said 199.2 - for another half hour of driving

I have been noticing some really cool clusters in some of the build posts and toying with the idea of LED bulbs behind mine. The prettiest so far was one from Iniglo. When I read more about it, I found that it was only an overlay that had to be tinkered with ("fitted") so as not to get any of the needles caught on it. Another showed of the use of GM Grand Prix needles. They looked cool. That got me thinkin'. I'm already hunting for a DR44G alternator in GMs with big motors and big power needs. Why not look in GMs for a cool cluster - if they can be compatible? It does not have digital anything in the cluster, its all mechanical. Does anyone know if a '96 4door cluster would be compatible withy any other GM Car or Truck?

I searched BF and only came up with one match from a thread that died in 2012 after 4 replies. It was posted in the wrong place (General Chat) instead of General Tech Help 2nd Gen. I'm gonna post this over there where the "Tech Savy" folks maybe hangin' out to assist.

I don't know what other clusters will fit. However, I would recommend staying away from overlays. I had one and it cause my needles to drag and my gauges were basically useless. what I did was install blue LEDs and a set of Camaro needles. The only thing with the Camaro needles is that they need to be trimmed to fit, but it is easy.

Thanx Tajohns34

I'm just thinkin'; I really should replace the cluster with something more accurate. Getting one from a more racy or elegant vehicle would be a good upgrade. As long as I don't run outta gas I guess I can wait until the opportunity is right. Now is the time for me to find my best options.

I spend so much time in the yard looking for better skid plates, alternators and a replacement drivers seat; this is just one more thing on my list. I pulled a couple of neon yellow/green needles off another Blazer but I had so much difficulty trying not to damage them that I may have anyway. I gotta get the hang of it I guess.

I heard that you can use a fork to pull needles. I have personally never tried it. I got lucky and pulled mine right off.
