'97 Blazer Work In Progress
wow dude I'm sorry to hear about your valence being destroyed. I also see you got some good looking tires though. Mine is getting two new skins before the end of next week. its coming along though and that's always good
Yeah I got these tires for a steal man $60! Any particular brand or style you will be running?
I've run into some more issues. To start, the brakes. Brake pedal is still pretty spongy, has been since I purchased it. Starting to think air in the ABS or it's faulty. I'll get a Tech-II or equivalent scanner run on it Friday to see about engaging the ABS bleed function.
Fuel. Holy cow, this thing literally started drinking fuel over night. I was getting around 22mpg Highway at 320 miles to a tank. Now I'm getting 125 miles to E. I will post some feedback as soon as my cable gets in so I can get some live data. No check engine light, but I have a funny feeling it's going to be a trans issue causing it, been acting weird lately.

My obd connector hasn't arrived yet so I brought out the fuel pressure gauge. My findings:
Key on engine off: 60 PSI leak down test performed and everything checked out
Engine on, warmed up at idle: 55 PSI steady
I hooked the gauge up this morning on the way to work, since it's a 30 minute drive on the highway at 75 mph once I get out of town, I figured it'd be a perfect time to test it.
55 PSI at idle and/or foot off accelerator. 60 PSI at 1/4 throttle and while running 55+mph. Anything above 1/4 throttle it jumps to 65PSI until up to desired speed.
My lunch break is in another 2.5 hours so I will check how the pressure is holding when I go to leave.

So the pressure dropped about 20 psi in a 4 hour span. Don't think that's bad really, being as it could just be my gauge doing it over that long, it's a little fiddly. Hopefully my OBD connector will arrive this weekend. Which brings me to my next order of business.
I have a three day weekend, so I will hopefully be pulling the dash for a re-wire. Replacing all my vacuum lines, and messing around with the rear lift gate and some more with the center console. Also, hopefully a few more little mods in.

Alright guys so I decided not to pull the dash this weekend as there is a special little mod I want to do, and don't want to have to take it off twice. So, I will probably get to it in the next two weeks or so.
But, I will be doing new door locks today, fixing the front door panels, and finishing the center console. My epoxy was old, so I will be taking a new improved route on it.
Also, I am about to post a help thread on some vacuum lines. If anyone can give me some help.. please do, I am lost. Thanks!

Well, good news and.. not so good news.
Good news first.
I finished the center console. What I did: (Pictures below)
This time I took the two prior pieces of plastic and super glued them on. Then, took some new epoxy and reinforced the edges. Then, I took a plastic coat hanger (bare with me here) and a lighter. I cut of the bottom longest portion of the hanger and set it ablaze. I let the hanger burn until it started to drip molten plastic. I got close as if stick welding and practically welded the two pieces top and bottom to the console. Had to relight a couple times. I know this sounds "shady", but hey, it worked. The floor shift bezel fix pretty much speaks for itself. If you wanted you could go buy the license plate screws that come with chevy logo caps that fit over the heads for a cleaner look.
I also pulled all the door panels, did a LOT of cleaning, and some paint.

Now the bad news...
Well, the noise that I THOUGHT was dash rattle over the past week suddenly worsened the past couple days. Come to find out.. it's actually more than likely a cracked flywheel.
The noise began as a muffled tick, and being I need to get my tires balanced, automatically assumed it was interior noise from the vibration. Nope, tonight I realized it is coming exactly from the torque converter location, and is now louder than hell at 60mph or greater. So, tomorrow, I will be inspecting it to make sure. I really didn't want to have to pull the tranny until I was ready to replace it, but oh well.
