Usually the service manuals come as a complete set of 3 volumes.
volume 1 being the service manual with all the servicing and repair instructions on how to remove stuff and put it back together correctly.
volume 2 being the electrical diagnostic & diveability manual with the driveability issues, fault codes, analysis and testing and the second part being the electrical wiring and diagrams.
volume 3 being the unit repair manual which details the repairs that can be made to several assemblies such as the engine, transmission, transfer case, etc.
Most before 2004 are available with parts stores such as rockauto and can be ordered in paperback or CD-ROM.

A search on here will pop up a few. Its where I got a lot of information to do mine.
-But 2 people help
-double check placement before drilling
-Use thread locker
Some use reinforcement, some use longer bolts to use the body reinforcement.
I just bolted right to the body, and now noticing a little bit of splitting(few years of daily use), so will be taking another look at it as I have a bigger tire now.
Edit: also try and do some weather proofing to prevent rusting from the drill holes.
I used a 1/8 thick rubber matt between the carrier and body, as well as some caulking. I think it might be in one of my threads lol.
Edit #2:
Thats a nice looking blazer, looking foward to reading up on it...

Stuck the third light in place to check a couple of things.
Cant really see it with how bright it is out...
Wire keeps it from sitting flush, already double tape layer
Rough marks for cutting or drilling
Same as above. Width of the gap, as far as the edge of the rain guard.
I have to remove the glass to drill a hole in the body, feed the wire thru and use the rubber grommet to seal.
I also have to figure out a good uv wire cover for the wire going from the light to the body opening, it must also be flexible for thw window opening and closing.
^^^^^^^ANY INPUT ON IDEAS FOR THAT WOULD BE GREAT^^^^^^
Had other stuff to say but wife got me distracted.....
Darn Irish in her.........
sonoma info following:
But got leads on a nice parts truck for just over 1k, parts I'll sell will get me my money back, and there enough parts I wants to make it worth it. Hopefully doesn't get sold before next Thursday, theres enough issues that I hope my offer won't get beet lol.

Didn't get to dealing with the envoy light, but got some front end work done instead.
New upper ball joint
New lower ball joint
Got new cv axles waitting to go in once I get my zr2 axle and diff back. Will do passenger side over the week, and install the new rear shocks.
Edit 4/8/21:
Drivers side upper and lower bjs done.
also did the inner and outer tie rods.
Next is:
Rear shocks
Alignment
Zr2 front diff/rear axle and front cv axles will get done when they get rebuilt. Will be talking to thw mechanic today or tomorrow about it. Tired of waitting....

Swapped hoods for now. Summers here and engine gets hot again on the sonoma. Doesn't look half bad.
Gmc hood on the blazer
Placed the brush guard and installed the hood. Jb welds drying overnight.

Went to do the rear shocks yesterday, and noticed they are too short. Got off the phone with a local store that deals with rough country, 4 new shocks and boots for 316. Getting them early next week.
The new ones I got, are for stock height. They will be going on the jimmy, and my dad is covering the cost of mine. Rc was 100 less then what I paid for the ones going on the jimmy lol.
