Just did the trans filter today , shifting a lot smoother.Tune up tomorrow and I'm gonna clean off everything I can get to and spray the undercoating.Going to adapt a K&N filter I have to my intake.I'll order my spintech muffler tonight along with some bent pipe.I'm thinking about preemptively ordering some ball joints since the stockers are on there and I have 160,000 miles.

got the tune up done today ,made a mistake with 1 and 3 wires but it's running so much better with that and I don't have to listen to my belt make noise since i changed that out.I ordered the spintech muffler and some cragar soft 8's 15x7 4.25" backspace lug centric just to get the backspacing I wanted and I undercoated the frame.Looks worlds better I'll take some pics in the daylight.

On the 6th I'll get the muffler and the mandrel bends in.Ball joints came today so I might install those tomorrow.Turns out I couldn't get the soft 8s for another 3 weeks they have to "make them" I don't know whats going on but nothing seems to be in stock anywhere.I got a hold of pro comps warehouse and they won't have any 152 crawlers for a month!

I started off by taking the wheel and tire off and prepping
Cleaned them with kustom shop wax and degreaser on microfiber rags(yellow ones from costco $15 36pk)

Scuffed all areas to be painted with gray scotch brite pads till there was no gloss of any kind(this takes time)

then repeat step one but make sure you don't pour the degreaser all over it apply it to the rag or else it will leak out from under neath the weights and ruin your tape job later, possibly getting paint on the polished lip

tack off the surface with tack cloth

tape then paint

I used duplicolor wheel paint from pep boys

Painting noteon't be afraid to get closer with this paint. You just have to keep moving.Do not dust coat, if you stay back the 8-10" called for it dries before it hits the surface leaving a dust like finish. If done right two coats will look very professional and this stuff is very tuff.
