I like how you left the lip polished. nice job. sucks about the transmission. I just did a tune up this past weekend. A tune up does wonders haha.

What a difference tires make. Stinks that the maintenance issues are popping up after all this though.

Ya it sucks when stuff breaks, but it just gives me an opportunity to improve it.I've got the # of this trans guy from some friends that race and I'm gonna have him rebuild/ beef up my 4l60E.Complete rebuild(clutches etc.) vette servo ,shift kit the whole 9!New torque converter as well.

I want it to put up with power because something tells me an Ls2 might be in this trucks future being that it bolts up to this trans i used to own a 2005 gto with 500hp with spintechs behind it....and I miss the sound of that motor...haha

If it breaks I didn't want it anyway..lol.So I threw up some photos of the headlights, and the underhood led.It has 30 leds in it.I need to make a new housing for it so it can distribute the light better. The interior leds are bright as hell there is nothing i cant see in my truck.I just got the basic 168's.You can see below the bulb comparison.I also got the 25led ambers for the turn signal they barely blink I think I need to install some resistors

Thanks I wasn't sure how well they were going to turn out but I'm really happy with the outcome especially since it only cost me $12.What's real ****ty is that right after the new belt, tune up, exhaust and intake and tires my trucks lookn good sounding good running great then bam! trans starts slippn

Do you think the lift and whatnot caused the trans to fail? I'm looking to do basically the same type of thing as you are with the lift and whatnot but i've noticed that american car transmissions seem weak. I always find these trucks on craigslist and such with bad transmissions, or recently replaced transmissions....

No it's just the parts that come in the trans factory. They don't put enough clutches in them. The lift dosen't add any stress. The tires cause more wear overall because of the increased weight ,size, and centrifugal force. Not enough to make a trans fail it just wont last as long. The 4l60e is very strong once rebuilt. It can be built to withstand gobs of horsepower.Mine was due to the mileage I have over 160,000.

I got the spacers from mywheeladapters.com for $129. now I have zero limitations in my steering and it's amazing how much more fun and stable this truck is.I emailed and left messages with ddmtuning.com on the lights but I'll post some pics of the h.i.d's tonight.Oh yea that is my GF hard at work there...lol She came down to press the brake for the fronts and just started working on the rear when she was done. What can I say I am lucky.
