33's would be sick! Do it!

If i were you, I`d just do SAS. There are even bolt on kits available, so it shouldn`t be a big deal even without a welder.

If we just wouldn`t have those stupid laws over here...

I'd definitely have to regear my truck, lol and after 2 failed attempts to get the front gears out... but yea I think it'd look cool especially with the bravada grill and bumper, and I'd love to do a solid axle swap butttt my parents might not like the idea of completely changing it... Its still in their name

Yeah 4.10's would be perfect for the 33's. I really wish our trucks came with 3.73s from the factory they really should have

I think I'm finally going to put my g80 in this weekend, still not 100% sure how it going to work but I'll figure it out.

I guess I should update since I haven't really been on top of posting what I've done for a while...

Replaced most of my front end parts with moog stuff, in the process of getting lower ball joints, replaced both uppers, and a tie rod, moog stuff is sooo much better. also replaced both of my cv axles with gsp ones. these seem much stronger than the napa ones. also got some new rough country front shocks see how long those will last... since the last ones blew after like 5000 miles..... but i had an extra one laying around and my bilsteins were too short and maxing out when I would hit bumps. also got a high lift jack that came in handy for changing my tire when I was stuck... I also managed to put my bull bar back on with some finagling. I got some weathertech fitted floor mats for the front and the back seats, and I have to say I love them definitely worth the money. had a small fire go on behind my dash with some switches... so I rewired all that with relays and fuses. (got smart this time) I also just got a high output alternator and that thing is muchhhh better than the stock one. I'm barely dropping volts with everything on (stereo thumping, roof lights, bumper lights, fogs, hi's and lo's.) changed my oil with the usual royal purple. Also replaced my heater core... lol that was an experience, my heat works much better now.

Projects in the works right now include:
-getting a new hood (mines dented all all beat up)
-painting my rims (the mud and rocks really did a number to them)
-fiberglass fenders for the front
-rough country control arms
-body lift
-some 33" tires (probably in the summer)
-air shocks in the rear (maybe another add-a-leaf too)
-refinishing my bull bar (thats getting pretty bad)
-winch + hidden winch plate
-HID's in the bravada fogs
-maybe some backup lights (broke my last set)
-some mounting brackets for my shovel and high lift
-maybe learn to fiberglass and make my stereo setup look nicer
-double din pioneer unit (the dash has been sitting my my garage mocking me)
-powertrax for the front diff
-eventually 4.10 or 4.11 gears
thats about all I have left to do with my truck other than solid axle it but I'm going to wait until I get out of college when I have a second vehicle so I can take my time with that build.

here are the few pics I have of my progress

heater core mess

Custom couch mod? I'm jealous!

That's an ambitious work list! Are you planning on fabbing up your own winch and plate? Synergy Offroad has a pretty nice looking combo, not sure what the price is like though.

You should add the Bravada axle shaft to your list. It's a stronger one-piece axle shaft that removes the two-piece shaft with the engagement clutch of the Blazer axle.

You have your couch mounted wrong. It needs to be upright, so granny can ride up there.
