Header bolts are in

 

So weekend number 2. GameStop and AMC frenzy had my attention this week. Going to pull motor from blazer after I get it inspected and licensed. So off to jiffy lube and the dmv and then the fun starts

 

Here is the harness. still need some more 1/4 inch loom to finish. I used some of the old loom in the larger areas. Harbor Freight had 3 sizes 1/2 3/8 1/4. I bought 1 pack of each. Looks like you will need two 1/4 inch.

 

Bought a 6l80e. Thinking that would be cool but it might just set to the side. 1-4 3-5R drum is got a crack in the weld. Came with a Circle D 3200 converter.

I think the wiring would be my biggest concern on an ls swap. That 6 speed would be a nice upgrade though!

 

Let’s get started pulling this thing apart

 

Ok got the radiator support off. Next move is separating/ disconnecting hoses and wire harness that will remain in truck or with motor.

 

Ok so I almost have V6 out. It’s fighting me. The exhaust was a pain. The bolts are in some funny angles. I’m pulling both motor and trans together. I forgot to remove fuel lines. The two plugs I was missing from v8 harness are glued factory to transmission. So I have to figure that mess out then move forward.

This shift module was giving me the business. Ended up cutting 2 of the plastic fuel lines to separate from truck. Goin an6 to replace.
