Yup I guess it is... The guy told me its for a 454 SS, and the one I got is a smidge larger than the one on my truck. I also dont like buying online much - had the CC number stolen back in BC that way and it was a hassle.

Had the truck out at the Brazeau resevoir for some camping and trail driving this weekend. Got about 300KM of muddy goodness into her, only got stuck once trying to turn around on a gravel road when I fell off the side into the ditch with my trailer on... and some lady pulled it out with her big ford truck.

I have some kind of whining now that I think is in the LF side wheel berring or maybe my driveshaft, we did smash through some rough stuff and get airborne a couple times... Blazer really likes the rough stuff, Ill have some photos of her all muddy and inclined soon.

No progress on this stereo as my IMPRINT is not in yet... EDIT, was bored today and did some.

This is the center console with my switches mocked up in spot.

And I am thinking of using Canadian currency as the washers, turned sideways so you can see the CANADA a little better. Kinda illegal but what do you guys think? Its pretty easy to knock the center out with 2 sockets and a mallet. Ill search out some 2010 coins and polish them up and use them for it. Its up to popular opinion though.

I also dremeled out the window and dropped in the 1/2 Lexan sheet my pops cut for me on amp rack day. I will be sealing up the edges nicer so you cant see the window as well, and also cause the mat that goes in the bottom doesnt fit as nice when lifted up 1/2". It will look sexy.

And the digital goodness that lies underneath is hidden out of the sight of prying eyes. This is hiding the stuff that actually cost me retail prices and makes up about half the total system cost so far. I think I may cut a new mat for inside here that fits a little nicer, and is cut from something cooler.

i'm for using that instead of the washers.

BUT.............instead of turning them sideways, i'd ditch the "ON/OFF" plates, and position the outer ring of the twoonie to sit right side up-"CANADA" on the top (for "ON"), and "2 DOLLARS" on the bottom (for "OFF").

definately be custom then. and no one would figure it out either.

except for all the member's who've just read this now.

Oh man, I bought new switches cause I found the ones with the ON OFF that I really liked... And without the plates they dont cover the inner edges of the washers... Ill waste 4 bucks and see how I like it, I suppose I could always punch the centers back in if I dont and get my 4 bucks back.

So I find out tonight if i get to lease this house I went and checked out, gonna live with my friends kid sister - I lived with her before, shes a neat freak and easy to live with, and my friends go ga-ga over her. 4 Bdrm (2 big, 2 small, 3 upstairs), Its got a double garage out back with lots of room, the basement has a HUGE den area that will fit my home theatre perfectly, theres a fireplace on both floors, firepit in the huge yard, its pretty decent and not large so the gas bill wont be nuts. I will need to buy a Briggs and Stratton lawnmower cause I have a hookup on briggs aftermarket parts (know a guy in gocarting). My mower will be open headered on 110 octane and make about 10HP at 5500RPM, maybe paint it all cool too! Neighbors will facking love it. LOL Im crossing my fingers so I can start looking for something else to drive and prop OHSOFLY up on stands and get to the real work. This part pile is getting big. I think I am going to look for an early 90s S10 4x4 4.3 so I can have a pair (since I have the plates OHSOFLY + SOSOFLY), and Ill beat around on the dime and the Blazer will eventually be my cruiser. Would like another 350 S10 but they are just trouble with the lawman and I really like the trail riding on the weekends to go fishing.

why don't you just drill the center piece to the exact size of the switch?

go like a 64th (0.0156") bigger. maybe a 32nd (0.0316")-but no bigger. you wanna keep the hole as tight as possible, so the retaining nut covers the drill hole.

Well, cause I dont have a drill press or anything to hold it straight enough like a bench to vise grip it to... AND... Also the heat from the drill will make the centers pop out I think.

So I better get this damn house.

I did get it! Gotta meet the man to sign papers and pay the deposit on tuesday.... So Im not going to be doing much just packing up all my junk and waiting until I move over to the house where the garage space is all mine!

Got some serious driveline noise happening too, so Im on the hunt for that S10 sooner than later.

No new mods to add, allthough I am in my own house now... and it has my very own double and a half garage to clown around in. All my posessions are in the shop right now as I slowly set up the inside of the house. This place is pretty sweet and I cant wait to rebuild a blazer in the garage this winter and next summer.
