Project Dirty phoenix:82 k5
Sweet man. And I can also vouch that doing gauges in those dashes are wickedly easy. On my 84 Sierra, first vehicle I ever tinkered on and owned for that matter, I had the old dash and gauges out, new dash & wiring in, AND had time to replace the carpet in one Saturday afternoon. These type of trucks are so easy and fun to work on. I miss mine.
wow, for the year that truck looks amazing! someone loved it, that or just loved looking at it from the sound of no fluid. maybe it wont be so bad electrical wise. i actually got a new project car that i traded a wii for and the said all it needed was an ecu. i got an ecu and it fired up like he said BUT i had sparks and S*** everywhere. i cracked open my wiring harness and it looked like a rat had a few meals. re doing wires SUCKS. but its all good now. good luck with your build. if anything, you got a set of badass tires and rims...

another vehicle i forgot to mention-not that any of you guys (save for one) will ever work on-is the cluster in my '70 Swinger.
the two main pods fit like they were made for the 5" Monster tach & speedo from Autometer.
and the middle pod (which was for the optional tach) fits their fuel gauge perfectly as well. goes to show, Dodge had it going on waaaay before the rest of the market. either that, or Autometer just knew a good act to follow.
probably gonna hear flack on this..................

already had one buddy that wanted to trade straight up his tires/rims for mine. his are off a ford and about 10% tread. needless to say he was joking. but those are mickey thompsons,so whoever had this before did have a fair amount of money in just tires and rims, also found out it has been converted from the old point ignition to the HEI. not sure on the carb, it has an edelbrock plate on it but it looks like a quadrajet, at one time it did have ac on it. that aint gonna be redone though, cost to much to convert or refill with r12. don't really need it with the top off though...

the stock carpet isn't really that great but it still would work. they used the sound deadening insulation in the back. i think i'll strip the insulation off and put bedliner in the back. after i get the floor panels redone i'll probably put stock carpet back in. its $350 for a carpet package, so bedliner or stock carpet would probably be the easiest. bedliner would be the easiest to clean out too. still brainstorming and takin all suggestions
has headers already but they need a patch
i like the look of those
definely getting some sort of light bar
beliner im still thinking about, idk about drain holes though...
