No, it's painted metal. I have a set from them with a different lens and the back is metal with paint.

Yeah, the stock h4666's I have are made out of glass or ceramic or something like that. But I'm getting these for the lack of plastic.

Well I got my clear lens headlights today.
Here is the old lenses.
Old lenses turned off.
New lens on drivers side, old on pass.
Both new.

Thogert, if you are still wondering what happened to your soldering iron tip, the outer iron layer got scratched or nicked and the copper core started to oxidize and disintegrate. My job involves soldering almost everyday, so that is how I know. Also, when you are done soldering, put a blob of solder on the tip and let it cool... this will help protect and preserve it.

I got a couple of pics of my led board for the tail light project. There is the 4 1 watt leds in the middle but they are not working (one led is bad) so here are the rest.

I really hate the beam pattern from the new headlights. They are all splochy and they have dead spots. They are worse than the hid kit I used to have in the old housings.
I can't wait for some FX-R's.
