if only i had that kind of cash.....

that 502 is a BEAST! Merlin Crate Motor... so tastey

no the good thing that came of this was i actually decided to take a run at the springs i was GOING to put in, instead of tearing my car appart then failing
this way, i failed in a vacuum and still drove home

the has a 327 in it.... might be worth keeping an eye on as it will be dropped on a motor stand and left to rot....
too bad she's not a 350...

tomorrow starts my home improvements project check list, so i will not be on the springs again until next saturday. I'll be baby sitting the dogs and have free reign of the shop since my folks will be in the neon garage living it up with the racers at Las Vegas Motor Speedway... again, must be nice to have $$$ right?

Hey man a V8's a V8 & it's even better if it's free.
Been looking at some Lexus 4.0L V8's, can pick them up down here pritty cheap, come with loom, computer & trans for about $1000-1500 NZ, now that would be a build.

yeah, can't top free

ultimately if i could do an engine swap it would be for an isuzu turbo diesel... but a 327 with the right inside bits, good wrap me quite nicely around an overpass

the 327 is a waaaay better engine Curtis (what do you think the 5.3L is? )

and the 502 would be such a waste in the Blazer-not yours, any Blazer. it's too big (heavy) & waaaay to much torque for such a light weight.

besides, you wouldn't be replaceing the leafs, you'd be putting in a serious 5 link set-up.

did you throw up pic's of your Dad's sled truck before? it looks really framiliar. maybe i've seen pic's on the web before?.................

yeah i put up a couple back ground shots the last time i was in his shop (sway bar)

502 would only work in a mid-to-late 70's full size <-- and would be like a GD mud rocket!

5.4L aint a bad engine by FAR... but 5.7L has more modability

I would be very happy with a 5.3L. But I am happy with my 4.3 cuz it gets me around!

I'd love to ditch my 4.3 for a 5.7. I'm really disappointed in the 4.3. It's not that great of an engine.

In my mind, the 4.3 should be making a decent amount more power than it is seeing as how Ford has the 4.8 v8 and gms cars are making more power than our trucks. The new 3.9L in the impala is making 240/240... i know its the same torque but a little more could be expected out of the 4.3... o well, mines running no problem (known on wood)

Sooo Curtis. This is you're build thread...it's gone several pages without any actual building. What's the deal? All these parts sitting in your Garage and no action?
