Project: Road Warrior (lots of pics)

i used 1/4" for the main plates and 3/16" for the others
the bumper probably weighs about 80 pounds i would guess. so quite a bit more than the stock bumper if that was your question, but the bumper isnt as heavy as i thought it was going to be.
So now on to whats new.. Ive been busy lately and havent had time to post the updates. First off i replaced my steering box finally cuz it had play and now i have to do all 4 ball joints because they're toast after what i did yesterday.
I got new rims put on as well, 15x7 Cragar soft 8 with 4.25" back spacing. Now i dont know if i have different than stock brake calipers but the rims dont come close to rubbing anything like everyone said they do.
Now for yesterday.. So my friend just fixed his 04 2500 DuraMax, it had a bad T-Case (go figure.. common problem), and he wanted to "test the 4WD" so our buddy owns some land around those high voltage power lines and invited us down. Lol originoally because him and all his friends were stuck.. So we go there and get them all out. The place is just a big mud bog, which doesnt mix with heavy trucks like a DuraMax..
So he sank.. I almost pulled him back out with the Blazer
Then he sank even worse
Gimpy had to stay in the truck.. But i didnt get a picture of him really stuck, that 35" tire was burried to the top at one point
So it took 3 trucks to get him out. the jeep down behind the bushes was pulling with his winch then the Dodge (which was stuck earlier) and i were pulling with a Y rope and finally got him out.
And i was the only one who didnt get stuck going through everythign. Probably because i was the lightest one there, but i was sure to rub it in lol. Well the jeep was on 39's and didnt get stuck either but he was working on it the whole time

I like the camaro wheels. I am working on refinishing a set that I got. They definately need to be painted because they are aqua right now. I didn't think that would be a good look with my black blazer.

Well I haven't been around in a while. I forgot my password when I got a new phone and computer and it didn't automatically have me logged in lol.
Still have the blazer! It pretty much sits until I go adventure somewhere the Subie can't, which isn't much. That car continues to impress me off road (I got a different WRX now, another story). But anyways not much has changed with the blazer, however that's soon to change.
And now for a long story kinda short.. Took it out last week for a bonfire with just the girly friend and I (stupid) ended up getting stuck in a bog from 11pm till probably 5am. Luckily I had my High Lift but no shovel. So I used my tire iron as a pick and my broken steering colum trim as a shovel to dig out the hitch and get the high lift in there. Lifted up the back and stuffed every rock I could find under the tires. After pinning it back and forth for a while I finally busted out of the mud back on to the trail. Then my girl starts yelling that I'm leaking a lot of fluid. So I get out and see that it's pouring gas out of a hole in the tank. So I said get the f**k in the truck let's go. Hauled *** down the trail and made it back to the road so a tow truck could get me.
Now this is the crazy part. My dumb *** left the tire iron in the mud behind my truck and as I was going back and forth it somehow got jammed in between the shock bolt and axle then punched a hole in the tank. I've never seen anything like that. Talk about unlucky or stupidity.. now for pictures (if I can remember how)
So here it sits looking sad waiting on a tank. Oh and a mirror..
Other new random pictures
Best of both worlds.

Not scared to get her muddy too haha
But as for the build goes I just picked up a Dana 30 (I know I know) and a Ford 8.8 both with 4.10s. I got 96+ d30 axle shafts that have the bigger d44 knuckles. With 33-35s I should be fine. Done tones and tones of reading. I'd like to find a high steer set up too but I'm going SUA so either way will work.
That's all for now. I'll definitely be back more often with updates and thanks for the compliments when I was away!
