Hm, good info, I'll keep that in mind when I buy/install mine. Do you have any close up pics of how it's mounted and all by chance? (sorry to clutter your thread)

Nah, no clutter, like you said good info! I'll get some good pics of the easy-over up either tonight or tomorrow. Trucks back at the Dr's for her 500-1000 mile checkup/re-torque, I'll get pics when she's back!

Here is the (currently working, 8/10/11) amazon link to the folding CB antenna adapter.

Antenna protection provided by fuel line and zip-ties.

And here is the adapter on top of the spring.

Default Long Time Away!

Updates! Updates! Updates! Been a while!

Life happens, truck took a back burner along with everything else for a few months. Heres some pics!

Doggy Chillen out in the shade!

Parked! (I'll explain shortly)

Soo... Moved like 3 or 4 times and the U-Haul trailer burned up my wiring.

So after it sitting for awhile, I tore into it and separated the wires that had melted and cut them and heat-shrinked em and rewired em up.

Apparently it pulled too much juice, they denied the insurance claim. I use my own set of tow lights on trailers now, lesson learned!

And... another update! yay! hope this aint to big...

so After finally dealing with the wiring mess (and moving again) I decided to finish a bunch of half-***ed projects on the truck.

So I moved and rewired the CB, it is now run directly from the rear battery and no longer has any issues. I also mounted my homebrew switch box.

(Night View)

Next: Installed on board air and relocated rear battery (was bungeed to back seat). I decided to mount the tank in the spare tire location since it is no longer a large enough area for my spare.

First we removed the tire hanger cable thingy!

Tank almost ready to go in.

Air Compressor mounted to chassis.

Fittings barely clear the bumper, ha ha, hope nobody rearends me!

Pic of tank location.

Relay/pressure switch location.

Compressor location.

Orientation together.

Installed Air fitting in the hole remaining from the spare tire.

Used a bulkhead fitting and some t's

Drilled hole for wiring! Ha Ha the first hole is always the worst, even if its not the first hole! measure once drill twice, er um...

Built a cabinet to house the rear battery and give me somewhere to lock up stuff.

Rear storage battery cabinet Box!

Wiring for lights, stereo, aux power, and air compressor.

Bolted a battery tray in the corner under the cabinet.

Installed the air gauge under the column.

Another pic!

Gauges galore!

Big *** CB speaker on dash, oh yah, in your face, literally!

And finally... Fixed the 4wd, lol was only temporary!
