Thanks!
i need to get the tune dialed in a bit more because im very rich on the top end. I think once i get it dialed in ill jump my shift points a little bit higher to around 6000-6200rpms.
I really should put it on a dyno and see where my power curve is because this thing wants to keep pulling through the rpms.

Nice work! I've got a ton more room in my k5, but I'm considering swapping a spare 5.3 for the 350 that's already in it. Love that you kept a/c

Hey! I’m new to the forum and I have a 2003 Blazer. Best thread I’ve seen on a swap so far!! Wanting to do the same build but curious about the budget 🤔. My 4.3 been leaking coolant it seems like from everywhere so it’s time for a update.

Nice blazer, i love that color!
The swap itself cost me about 6k including the engine and transmission. The cam swap alone cost me about $800-$1k because i upgraded the cam, lifters, push rods and valve springs while i had it apart.
Im about 9-10K into my build now including the $1200 i paid for the blazer itself, the Detroit Truetrac limited slip diff and i also replaced all bushing and bearings in the entire suspension and drive train with the exception of the pinion bearings.

The last thing i need to do is have a trans built properly and a higher stall converter. It runs good right now but the current converter is way to tight for the cam.

Finally got tired of the lazy shifting stock 4L60E so i had one built along with a FTI 3200 stall Billet converter. Got the bell housing and tail shaft swapped from a spare trans i had laying around but i kinda wish i would have painted them to match the trans case. Oh well, Hopefully I will get it swapped tomorrow.

Nice build!

I've read on some swaps that mods have to be done to the A/C box. Looks like you were able to avoid that?

I did not have to modify the A/C box at all.
But i highly suggest removing it when installing the engine because i did crack mine by accidentally bumping it.
