I was looking to see what methods you guys had to cleaning the under bodies. Ive just been using only water, anyone have different suggestions?

 

Never really have unless the carwash I go to has an underbody cleaner..
Speaking of which, should get this thing washed soon.

 

was considering one day putting it on jacks...getting the creeper and some sand paper, and respraying as much as i can with underbody spray

 

I've always relied on driving when it was raining to clean the underbody.

Of course, my Blazer has only been "washed" two times in the last 13+ years. One of those washes was with the pressure washer just to knock off all the mud it had acquired during a rather wet and muddy hunting season. The other was a charity car wash.

 

I hit the car wash and use the wand after all the crap is off the roads. You can also put a sprinkler underneath the vehicle and let it go. I would also say a pressure washer would be good. I have been going to buy one for 31 years and never got around to it. lol

 

+1 on using pressure washer especially on those that didn't come off using a sprinkler.

 

yea i just got a 5000psi pressure washer, i was cleaning my wheel wells with a 45deg tip and it put a hole in it haha, gonna just get a hose under there when i change my oil

i took a look at my manual, (it was helpful, check that out haha) it says just use plain water.

 

I put an oscillating sprinkler under the front, then middle, and then the rear and it gets all the mud off. I usually put it there while I am cleaning the interior so it can run for a while when its real muddy.
