yes, the 305 and 350have the same outside dimensions.

does anyone know if when i swap then engine if i need to change the driveshaft and if so what driveshaft will work?

installing my 350 this up coming weekend and ill tell ya what needs to be done to fit er in there

Well depending on how you mount the engine, what trans you run will depend if you need to mod the driveshafts. I put my engine and tranny in so that the tranny was in the stock location. So I will be able to run the stock driveshafts (4x4). Usually with a 2wd people shorten the shaft as they set the engine back.
