1998 Chevy Blazer problem after changing intake gasket.
hello hay iam having the same problem that AARONJOHN20 had but my blazer is a 2000 4.3 4x4 . same problem with the leak at the intake and the head . got it all back togather and it runs like its running on 4 cylinders . tell me where dose the oil pump shaft need to be to get the distributor to line up........ where the rotter botten will line up on the #6 on the rim of the distributor please i need help
Point the rotor at the 6 and then flip it over and look at the drive on the bottom. You need to line the oil pump drive slot up with that. This can be complicated further by the fact that the rotor must be turned off that 6 location to properly start the engagement due to the twist of the gears.
ok i understand that i have to line up the distributor and then i have to turn the rotter button counter clockwise a little bit for it to drop in on # 6 . got that .
ok now can you tell me how will i no if my oil pump shaft is in the right place
i mean can it be out of ajustment or is it set by the computer . ? shade tree lol
