It is possible that the FPR is at fault, but I would want to remove the fuel lines on top of the engine, pull the upper plenum, reinstall the fuel lines, and then pressurize the system to be sure. But before that, check to make sure that it isn't a problem with the fuel pump as I pointed out earlier.

Yes I did to be honest, ok they will have that as the local auto shop I take it ?

Have what at the local shop? The necessary adapters (doubtful) or the necessary equipment to test the coil (also doubtful).
The later part of the fuel pressure test instructions I posted earlier has the 10psi pressure drop test which should identify a leaking check valve.

ok I cant seem to locate a fitting to attach the fuel gauge to the fuel filter end of the fuel line, any idea where I may end up finding something like that?
