I decided to sell the Blazer, and thus needed it to get fixed. New spider injector, fixed the door that was hanging off, and new fuel pump for a grand total of $1434...just so I can try to sell it for about $2500.

Well, after all that crap it still has the EXACT SAME PROBLEM. I've taken it back to the shop twice now. Once it died on the way home, and the 2nd time it wouldn't start the next morning. They're still looking in to it...but my patience is running thin.
Its nice to buy those that the owner has put many new parts on, if you will get it running properly, add a new set of tires, you might get $2600 hundred out of it.

Default 2001 4X4 Chevy Blazer Intermittent Issue

Here's what "the shop" did to my Blazer:
New spider injector, fixed the door that was hanging off (irrelevant), new distributor, and new fuel pump for a grand total of $1434. They state that it's holding steady at 60+ lbs of fuel pressure, but I don't have the tools to test.

I'm still having intermittent starting issues and it's also sputtering when I give it a lot of gas, such as entering highways. The weirdest part of the whole deal is this: When it doesn't start I can swap out the fuel pump relay with the horn, or other same relay, and it fires right up. So, of course I was thinking bad connection.

However, I try pulling the same one out and putting it back it when it happens and same deal. Then, I swap them around and it starts right up. When I slam the gas it sputters a little though, but in normal driving it's fine. Even entering the highway isn't bad as long as I don't gun it.

So, does this make sense to anyone???? The dude at "the shop" pretty much told me that if it happens again to not bring it back...nice guy

*I have merged your two threads on this subject since they both concern the starting issue.*

Well, finally got it fixed and just in case anyone else has this issue I'll give the final fix. It was a bad/frayed negative cable to the chassis. It doesn't make a ton of sense to me, but after $1500 in repairs, that is what fixed it once and for all...
