Default 2003 S10zr5 desnt have 3rd gear

I have a 2003 zr5. It goes into neutral instead of third gear. I've replaced both selinoid inside the tranny but it still isnt fixed. I've been reading but cant get a clear answer on this issue. I need help to figure it out. Please

You could have a worn out 3/4 clutch pack. This is not an uncommon failure mode for the 4L60E.

Does the transmission shift from first into second just fine but then when it would upshift to 3rd does the engine rev instead? If yes, then a worn 3/4 clutch pack could likely be the problem.

If this is the problem, then a transmission rebuild or replacement is the only solution.

This is the first time a transmission replacement has been suggested. Yes first and second are fine when it goes to third it revs up as if in neutral. Time to learn how to rebuild a transmission I guess.
Thank you for your time.

I take no pleasure in suggesting that a rebuild is needed. Have you taken it to a transmission shop for a diagnosis?
