Hello everyone!
I've got a friend with a 95 Blazer that the engine blew on, it has the W engine. I also happen to have a 95 ZR2 on hand that's completely rusted out with a W engine. I read that there are a few different electrical systems and such with the 95's and to be careful.

My question is if I swap the complete engine, harness, and computer from the ZR2 into the Blazer will it run fine then? If not, what would I have to look for exactly to ensure the engines are "similar?"

The motor should match the ECU as there is an embeded cam retard spec.

 

So then the blazer would work if I swapped over the engine/computer/harness from the zr2?
