Default 95 s10 blazer 4x4 Tranny slipping

I have a 95 S10 Blazer 4x4 auto that just started slipping in drive and overdrive. The fluid is full and doesn't smell burnt. Im going to do a fluid and filter change today but is there anything else that may cause this i really can't afford to replace the whole transmission?

Also 1st and 2nd seem to drive fine when i manual put it in those gears.

A slipping 4th gear can be caused by a missing or incorrectly located check ball. Sometimes this can be caused by a check ball that wears through the separator plate in the transmission.

Both conditions could be caused by a missing or blown out orifice cup plug in the 2-4 servo assembly.

Either problems *should* be able to be corrected without a rebuild.

Do you happen to have a how to guide to do this. Is there a repair kit for this issue? I can do almost anything if i have a how to in my hand. Any info would be hopeful. Thanks

Have you ever opened up an automatic transmission before? These items are located on or near the valve body and can be accessed with a pan drop. However, there is more stuff in there that you can screw up in the process of getting to these areas.

So i changed the filter and fluid with no change at all. I did pull the trouble codes and i got a code for
solenoid a solenoid b and p1843 code about transmission. Is this transmission shot or fixable?

Unhappy Replaced Transmission and torgue converter but still the same issue.

I replaced the transmission with one from a working s10 from my local yard. He warrantied it and everything but i do not want to rip that thing out again. could there be a wiring problem that makes D and OD slip but not 1 or 2?
