Default blazer turning off

My vehicle is a 91 s-10 4wd blazer. yesterday it started and as soon as i put it in drive it turned off and would not start. my friend used a screwdriver to bridge the gap from the distributor to coil to check for spark and it started. so we drove it less than a mile and it turned off again. we checked the wires and the center electrode pulled off the cap. i replaced the cap. once again it worked fine. 3 hours later it turned off again. i pushed on the wires at the cap figuring it was a loose wire. it started again i got on the freeway then it died again. i did the same thing pushing on the wires it eventually started then a couple of miles later it turned off again (at freeway speeds) this time i could not get it to start. the next day i replaced the plugs wires and rotor. my old rotor was stuck and after getting it off i saw everything under the rotor was all red and rusty. my old cap also had grooves in the electrodes where the rotor arcs. after the tune up it ran like a champ for a couple of miles then it did the same thing. turning off while slowly driving in a parking lot. i got it to start after a couple of trys then tried to get it back to the house but it ended up dying again and would not start. is it not the ignition but fuel related? arent ignition components either good or bad? how can i check if its the fuel pump or injectors if i may not even be able to start it tomorrow? please help.

Get a fuel pressure gauge and hook it up to the shrader and see where that is. Is the fuel filter changed regularly?
