Have you tried using a spark plug socket with a built in swivel on it? Kinda like this?

I've broken my plugs before using a regular socket and this saved the day for me. Just need a 1 foot extension with the swivel socket and you should be able to get it out.

The tip of the plug broke off inside when it was running, not during removal.

Now thats a good one. They only show the 2.2lt not the 4.3lt. So what good is a 2.2 guide for a 4.3
