Default Clicking Noise On Top Of Engine Driving Me Nuts!

Okay guys, and gals, first off this is my first post and I love this forum. It has great info for anyone with a blazer. I'm anamateur with no training mechanic who has a brain and used this forum to replace the bearing hub assembly on my front right tire. I with I didn't have to do it outside in the snow, but I was still successful. Anyway, I have this continuous clicking noise coming from or around the intake air plenum on top of the engine that is continuous and speeds up with increases power for the first 5 or so minutes. This only started happening now that's it's winter time in PA. From what I've been reading I'm starting to suspect some sort of vacuum leak, but I can't be sure or maybe I'm totally off base. It almost sounds like the air flow pedal is rattling until it warms up. I don't know. I need help. Any advice or questions for advice would be most appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Jason

Jason, [sm=welcomesign.gif]to the Forum. Glad you were able to use the info to make the hub repair. If you will go into your member profile and set up a signature containing the important information about your vehicle (see mine below as an example), we will be more able to help you with any issues.

Okay, sorry about that. The details are in. I asked a guy, and he said it might be time for an oil change and it sure is, although I doubt that as being the cause. I'm considering buying an aftermarket cold air intake, seeing if that remedies the problem. Any suggestions?

An aftermarket intake will have no bearing on the noise.

Nope, not the pcv valve. Checked it, it was fine. Replaced it anyway just to make sure. I'm still considering replacing the air intake just to see if it helps at all.
