I'm gettin ready to pull a 4.3 out of a 95 blazer 4wd and put in another 4.3 out of a 96 jimmy 2wd. they look like different motors and i need to know if they'll swap easily

 

i'm pulling my engine out of my 1998 bravada and replacing it will a 2003 silverado 2wd engine. swapped the manifolds, intake, oil pump, oil pan, knock sensor. and i will have to say pulling the engine without the trans was a pain in the ***! i should of pulled the trans with engine or pulled the body off and did it that way. good luck i have some pics i post later.

 

You should be able to use the short block, but the heads on up are different on the 96+ SCFI motors when comparing them to the 95 and earlier CPI motors.

 

will the 95 heads bolt up to the 96 block?
