Default Engine swap

Hey everyone, im looking to swap motors in my 96 Blazer, it of course has a V6 4.3L vortec A guy my dad knows has a wrecked 97 cheyenne work truck with a 4.3 v6 vortec in it as well, the wrecked trucks motor has 70,000 miles on it and he'll part with it for $300. So im ldefinately intersted, my question is, is it compatible with the 96, are the computers and all that the same? any help greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Swap the sensors and maybe the intake off of your old motor and you be just fine. If the other motor is a standard put your flexplate on it of course.
