Help
Dropped bolt in distributer hole (not me) then lost magnet. I seen the boats next to the oil pump down in the hole then it was gone never seen the magnet I seen it stuck to the side somewhere I have a scope with a light camera unable to locate I was told pull the pan off that's a job in itself hoping for some help
A bolt sitting on the bottom of the pan probably won't ever cause you any problems. It can't get sucked up in the oil pump pickup screen, and it's too far away from the crankshaft to be very likely to get caught in it. The magnet, on the other hand, if you don't know where it is, can get jammed up in the distributor drive gear or someplace else and ruin your day. If it were mine, I'd pull the pan and remove them both. But if you're a gambler, you can roll the dice.
*EDIT*
If the bolt is in the distributor hole by the oil pump drive shaft, it definitely needs to come out.

Hopefully, you'll find the bolt and the magnet in there.
Removed intake upper an lower no luck on finding bolt was able to run the scope a little further down. Standing at the front of the truck looking at it the back left hand side of the distributor hole I believe I found the boat at the bottom left I guess my next alternative is to drop the pan help

Sorry I don't have any better answers for you. Maybe you can drop the pan enough to fish it out with a magnet so you don't have to remove it completely?
